Jack Oberholtzer, 83
Jack E. Oberholtzer, 83 of Jeromesville passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Jack was born October 13, 1934, to Frank and Ruth (Kirby) Oberholtzer in Ashland County. He attended Ashland City Schools and graduated from Ashland High School in 1953.
He married the love of his life, Pat Fasig of New Pittsburg, Ohio, June 17, 1956. They met 62 years ago at the Loudonville Street Fair.
Jack was a real estate developer and contractor in north central Ohio and south Florida. He is a past president of the Ashland County Homebuilders Association and the Ashland Board of Realtors. He was a 60 year member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge #151. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Ashland.
Jack was an avid boater for many years on Lake Erie and in Florida. He enjoyed attending his grandkids and great-grandkids sporting events. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant so much to him.
Jack is survived by his children, Craig (Kim) Oberholtzer, Jody (Nina) Oberholtzer, and Jackie (Scott) Young. Along with grandchildren, Chad (Kelly) Oberholtzer, Nikki (Eric) Moore, Beck (Jordan) Oberholtzer, Julie (Ryan) Emmons, Jason (Jenna) Young, Robby Young, Cody Oberholtzer and Max Oberholtzer. Great-grandchildren Ella, Olivia and Ava Emmons, Drew and Brooke Oberholtzer and Emmett and Maggie Moore. They will all miss his unconditional love, hugs and support.
Also surviving are siblings; brother, Kenny Oberholtzer and sister, Janet Oberholtzer, and great friend Boze Fasig.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Pat, parents Frank and Ruth, and in-laws Rex and Gladys Fasig.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 7, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in Jack’s Place at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805. A memorial service will follow immediately after calling hours in the sanctuary with Reverend Eric Riesen officiating.
