L. Ann Stackhouse, 82
L. Ann Stackouse, 82 of Ashland passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born on November 26, 1935 to the late Steven and Edith (nee Finley) Stevens.
Ann married the love of her life, David L. Stackhouse on March 14, 1954.
She was a waitress at the Surrey Inn and Perkins for many years. Ann was also owner of Jo-Ann’s Lunch Box along with her partner, Ruth Martin from 1986 to 1996 in Ashland.
Ann was a devoted member of the Eastern Star Chapter #92 where she served two terms as Past Matron. She also was a member of the Emblem Club #61 and the Flower Gardeners of Ashland. She was an avid bowler, golfer, fisherman who enjoyed both gambling and cooking.
Ann is survived by her three children, Robin Stackhouse of Bedford, Christopher Stackhouse of Ashland, and Shelly Stackhouse of Ashland; ten grandchildren, Michael and Angela Stackhouse, Kara Deal, Jermaine Johnson, Jonathon Higgins, Amber McClain, Daniel and Christopher D. Stackhouse, Steven Rose, and Jessica Turner; 40 great grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn Rogers of Ashland; one brother, Larry Stevens of Toledo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, David Stackhouse who passed away on December 20, 2014; one daughter, Kim Rose; two great grandchildren; five sisters, Violet, Mary, Alverta, Jane, and Alene; and four brothers, Bob, Don, Al, and Doug.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Tina Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home where Eastern Star Services will be conducted at the conclusion of the visiation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fresenius Kidney Care Ashland County, 1100 Redwood Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or to Wasen Rehabilitation Landscape Project, in care of Brethren Care Village, 2000 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
