Stanley E. Camp, 95 of Ashland passed away early Saturday morning, June 8, 2019 in Brethren Care Village.
He was born on June 5, 1924 in Ashland to the late Scott H. and Treva (nee Witherstine) Camp.
Following his school education, Stanley proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.
Stanley married the love of his life, the former Lois A. McCready on September 26, 1942.
He was employed as a supervisor at U-Brand Corporation for more 20 years where he retired.
Stanley attended Grace Brethren Church. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing; but most of all traveling with loving wife.
He is survived by one daughter, Barbara McQuillen of Ashland; two sons, Larry (Shirley) Camp of Ashland and James (Barbara) Camp of Ashland; seven grandchildren, Todd (Melissa) Camp, Druanne Hall, Ray (Tammy) Sevin, Laurie (Mike) Jones, Chad McQuillen, Heather Schaefer, and Dawn (Ron) Caudill; numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years of marriage, Mrs. Lois A. Camp who passed away August 11, 2013; a son-in-law, Rick McQuillen; four sisters, Marjorie Camp, Maxine Metcalf, Virginia Hunter, and Helen Tucker; and one brother, William Camp.
Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Allan officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. A meal and time of fellowship will immediately follow the service in the Legacy Room of the funeral home. Interment will be after lunch in the Ashland County Memorial Park where the Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennesee 38105.
