Proudly served in the United State Navy during World War II.
Enlisted January 1943
Honorably discharged February 1946
Studied Voice at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
Performed on local radio and television stations and on stage
Married Patricia Ann Madden August 25, 1949
Worked in various sales and management capacities in the latex and chemical industry; retiring from General Latex and Chemical, Ashland, Ohio.
After his retirement, Harold and Patty lived in Ocala, Florida, where they enjoyed world travel.
He was an avid golfer and is a proud member of a rare society, those who have scored a hole in one.
Even into his 90’s, Harold enjoyed rebuilding old computers.
He was also an avid reader of historical and political subjects.
He followed with a passion his beloved Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes football teams. His dying wish was to see the Browns play in the Super Bowl.
He served as President of the Westerville, Ohio Junior Chamber of Commerce.
He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Ashland, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of nearly seventy years, Patricia Ann (Madden) Geraci, John William Geraci (Peggy) of Summerville, South Carolina, William Joseph Geraci of Sunbury, Ohio, Harold Eugene (Gene) Geraci, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee, and Mary Catherine (Geraci) Derr (Ted).
He is also survived by his sisters, Joy Frances (Geraci) Dreyer, Janet Hope (Geraci) Kent and his brother, Gordon John Geraci.
Harold was the proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Laura Geraci, and his son, Timothy Scott Geraci.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, August 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Edward Catholic Church, 501 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ohio with Father Vincent Hawk officiating. Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Friends may call Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. A remembrance service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 7:00 p.m.
