Anna H. Bricker, 100, of Ashland, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 7, 2019 at University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland.

Anna was born in Ashland County August 6, 1919 to the late John Bell and Hazel (Vesper) Hawks and has been a resident of the area her entire lifetime.
Anna had worked in various retail positions around Ashland before working at Faultless Rubber Company / Abbott Labs for 25 years retiring in the early 1980’s.
In her early years she attended Stone Lutheran Church. She was an avid bowler and bowled on leagues in Ashland and bowled in tournaments across Ohio and other states as well. She was a member of the Ohio Women’s Bowling Association and was a member of the team which won the state championship in 1990.
In 1939 Anna was married to Melvin Bricker who preceded her in death in 1980.
She is survived by her nephews, John (Diana) Coleman of Ashland, Richard “Ralphie” (Laura) Coleman of Taylors, SC; Nieces, Janis Bridwell of Taylors, SC, Rosie Evans of Fremont and Beverly Evans of Ashland and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin Bricker and three sisters, Evelyn Evans, Bessie Coleman and Laura Jenny.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with the Reverend Donald Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Vesper Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon on Saturday until the time of the services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
