Obituary

Nancy L. Lane, 75

Nancy L. Lane, 75 of Danville, formerly of Berea passed away, Thursday, January 9, 2020 with her family by her side.

She was born on October 29, 1944 in Berea, Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard and Esther (nee Fidler) Terbeek.

Nancy graduated from Berea High School, Class of 1963. She married the love of her life, Glenn H. Lane on May 29, 1966.

Nancy retired after more than 30 years from Southwest General Hospital in 1995. She first started as a volunteer and rose to a management position in Radiology.

She was a devoted member of the Jelloway United Methodist Church where she was active. Nancy was a loving caregiver throughout her life, both to her family and friends. She loved to cook for others and enjoyed flower gardening. Nancy was a girl scout leader most of her life, maintaining lifetime friendships with those she met.

Following her and Glenn’s retirement, they traveled in their R.V. to Texas, New Mexico, and often to Mackinac Island.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years of marriage, Mr. Glenn Lane of Danville; one daughter, Carrie (Tom) LeBay of Cuyahoga Falls; and four grandchildren, Ali (fiancé, Tony Anzaldi), Noah, Grace, and Ben LeBay of Cuyahoga Falls.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanne (Terbeek) Rice and Barbara Duktig; and one brother, Richard Terbeek.

Funeral service will be held, Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Pastor Ruth Douglas officiating. Following the service, family and friends may visit and enjoy a lunch and time of fellowship in the Legacy Room of the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jelloway United Methodist Church, 21248 Wooster Rd, Danville, OH 43014 in Nancy Lane’s name for the church’s mission of Random Acts of Kindness founded in honor of Nancy’s caring heart for others.
