Patricia Ann (Madden) Geraci, 91 of Ashland passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in her home with her family by her side.
She was born on May 27, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late William Francis and Nancy Louise (nee Baker) Madden.
Pat married the love of her life, Harold Eugene Geraci Sr. on August 25, 1949. They celebrated 70 years together.
She graduated from Summit Country Day School in Cincinnati.
Pat retired from Sanese Services in Columbus, but was previously employed by Franklin Village, Ohio School for the Deaf, Hospitality Motors Inn, and was owner and operator of Flowers by Pat.
She was a devoted member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Throughout her life, Pat enjoyed arts and crafts, flower arranging, beading and jewelry making. She volunteered for the Child Conservation League where she was Regional Vice-President, American Cancer Society, and Monroe County Hospitals in the Gift Shop. Pat was an avid Bridge player and a member of the Red Hat Society.
The happiest time in her life was when she and Harold retired to Ocala Florida. It was during her years in Florida that she met her best friend, Margo, and fellow craft enthusiast.
Pat was truly a joy to know. She was sassy and spunky, and all of her children can say “Amen!” She lived a modest life but would indulge in life’s simple pleasures of 3 oz of Chocolate Ice Cream, McDonald’s Mocha Frappes, fudge, tootsie rolls, shopping for Bon Worth clothes, and collecting angels. A pioneer in her own rite, she was one of the first survivors of Breast Cancer in her earlier years.
She leaves behind her one daughter, Mary (Terry) Derr; three sons, John (Peggy), Bill, and Gene Geraci; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Geraci who passed away on August 2, 2019; an infant son, Timothy Scott Geraci; a brother, John Michael “Mike” Madden; and her pets, Dinker Dog and Kacy.
