Beatrice J. Weiler, 87 of Ashland passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in her home.
She was born on March 19, 1933 on the family farm in Albion, the daughter of the late Guy Ernst Weiler Sr. and Dessa Mae (nee Smith) Weiler.
Following her graduation from Polk High School, Class of 1951; Bea decided to go to work for Eagle Rubber Company that became Hedstrom Corporation. She retired in 1998 after more than 38 years. In 1978 she was voted woman of the year at Eagle.
She was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Bea’s family was the most important thing in her life. She was the aunt that everyone wanted, always treating her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.
Bea is survived by one brother, Donald (Sandi) Weiler of Sywan Springs, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bea is preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Vining and Juanita Harding; and three brothers, Robert, Wayne and Guy Weiler Jr.
An interment service will be held, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. in the Ashland County Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Doug Olsen officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. Following the service at the cemetery a meal and time of fellowship will be in the Legacy Room of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
