Ralph W. Crain, 66 of Lexington, formerly of Ashland passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in his home.
He was born on October 3, 1954 in Ashland, the son of the late William “Bill” and Charlotte Mae (nee Reeves) Crain.
Ralph worked at Mettler-Toledo in Columbus where he was a machinist.
He was an avid Cleveland Brown’s and Indians enthusiast, along with Ohio State University. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren, always taking the opportunity to give them cookies when he saw them. In his earlier days, he enjoyed fishing with his family.
Ralph is survived by two sons, David (Amy) Crain of St. Clairsville and Joseph (Amber) Crain of Mansfield; two step children, Angel and Joe; eight grandchildren, Helana, Damenyon, Timothy, Aubrey, Ava, Addyson, Cooper, and Trinity; one brother, Michael (Tamara Sue) Crain of Ashland; and a former wife, Monica Medley.
In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Crain; two brothers, Larry and Gary Crain; and a step-son, Eric Virgilli.
A memorial service will be held, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mansfield First Assembly of God, 1000 McPherson Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44903 with Reverend Mark Lehman officiating.
