Timothy A. Paullin, 78, of Ashland, passed away Friday afternoon, January 29, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, with his family by his side, following a lingering illness.

Tim was born in Alliance, Ohio on January 6, 1943 to the late Clayton and Lynette (Neely) Paullin. His family moved to Ashland following his birth and he had been a resident of the Ashland area ever since.
He was a graduate of Ashland High School class of 1961 and was a veteran having served in the United States Army.
Following his discharge from the army, Tim worked for the F.E. Myers Company, was an officer with the Ashland Police Department, returned to F.E. Myers until he was asked by Ike Santangelo, in the early 1970’s, to come to work in the produce department at Hawkins grocery store. He worked his way up to Produce Manager and eventually become the manager of the Claremont Ave. Hawkins, then manager of the Center St. Hawkins. He continued to work part-time at the Hawkins store on Claremont Ave. until its closing and his retirement in 2018.
He attended the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, Fishing at Lake Erie, camping, Browns games, and having bon-fires.
On October 24, 1964 he was married to Barbara J. Norris who survives him. The couple cerebrated 56 years of marriage in 2020. He is also survived by two daughters, Tammy (John) Winkler of Wooster; Tonja (Mark) Williams of Ashland; four granddaughters, Melody (Nick) Jordan, Amy (Alan) Tallos, Megan (Tyler) Boggs and Rachel Winkler; two great grandchildren, Gavin Jordan and Emma Tallos; his sister, Beverly Martin of Ashland and his brother, David Paullin of Cleveland.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at a later date with the time and place to be announced. They suggest that memorial contributions in Tim’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr. # 900, Arlington, Virginia 22202.
